Another attack in the Nuoro prison of Badu and Carros, where an inmate attacked a prison police officer , a few days after another similar episode , always carried out by the same person.

The general secretary of the Uil Pa Penitentiary Police of Sardinia Michele Cireddu reported the incident.

«The dynamics are the same, the inmate carries out resistance, throws his excrement and urine on the agents and the moment he leaves his cell he attacks the operators who come within range» , explains Cireddu. Adding: «This time he first destroyed everything he found in the walking courtyard, then he initially refused to return to the section and when he decided to return he brutally attacked one of the officers who accompanied him» .
«These were extremely tense moments – continues Cireddu – and the intervention of the other policemen was providential as they barely managed to contain their aggressive fury. The attacked officer was then transported to the San Francesco emergency room."

In short, concludes the Uil Pa secretary, «a single inmate is literally setting fire to a prison
entire Institute, creating not only serious difficulties for the staff, but also preventing other inmates from being able to serve their sentences in a dignified manner. It almost seems that the Penitentiary Administration is in check of psychiatric prisoners and has no ability to intervene . Unfortunately, this is the current situation and it is the sad reality of the facts", therefore "we hope that these events can at least determine
the urgent dispatch of a Commander and a Director who can take charge of the situation before it is too late".
