A 19-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri on serious suspicion of attempted murder, following the fight that broke out yesterday morning in front of a bar in the centre of Oliena during the celebrations for San Lussorio.

The alarm was raised by medical personnel, who called 112 after helping a 29-year-old man, Carlo Boi, who had suffered two stab wounds.

Soldiers from the Operations Section of the Nuoro Company's Norm and the Oliena station arrived on site, with the support of the Provincial Command's Investigative Unit.

The investigations launched immediately allowed us to reconstruct the incident and quickly identify the alleged attacker . According to the initial reconstruction, the 19-year-old pulled out a knife during the fight and stabbed his opponent twice, once in the abdomen and once in the groin, before running away. The victim was rushed to the Nuoro emergency room, where he was treated by doctors, but his life is not in danger.

The young man, accompanied by his lawyer , voluntarily presented himself to the provincial Carabinieri headquarters. After being questioned by the public prosecutor in charge of the case, he was transferred to Nuoro prison pending validation of his detention by the preliminary investigations judge.
