Bad weather, Sanluri and Bonorva decree the state of natural disaster

Sanluri and Bonorva have declared a state of natural disaster for the damage caused by the latest wave of bad weather that hit Sardinia .
In the town of Medio Campidano, the abundant and persistent rains at the end of May caused considerable damage to forage, cereal and legume production . For this reason, the municipal council has unanimously approved the state of natural disaster. "We have heard from our farmers who have reported the damage caused by the rains to production - explains the Councilor for Agriculture, Paolo Usai - It seemed right to us to intervene immediately by declaring a state of calamity also for our municipality".
Mayor Alberto Urpi explains: "At the first session of the useful council we decided in favor of our farmers affected by the damage caused by bad weather ".
A similar initiative was undertaken by the municipal council of Bonorva which asked the Region for recognition of the status of territory affected by a natural disaster . «In anticipation of any reimbursement procedures, all owners of farms, or private buildings, who have suffered damage in the climatic events that occurred from 24 May to 5 June, are requested to fill in the appropriate form present in the offices of the Municipality of Bonorva, by June 20, 2023», says the mayor Massimo D'Agostino.
In the meantime, the notice addressed to economic operators willing to carry out works or to offer services and supplies to deal with dangerous situations linked to the orange or red alert of the Civil Protection has been published on the website of the municipality of Sassari.
From the list thus created by the Mobility Infrastructures sector, the municipality, even in the absence of critical issues, will be able to consult the companies that have joined to entrust works, services and supplies of an ordinary and extraordinary nature.
Interested parties must send the form via pec to protocol@pec.comune.sassari.it by 11pm on 7 July.
