There are 2.5 million funds allocated by the Regional Council to be allocated to the Municipalities of Sardinia to reorganize the civil protection machine for the "war" against landslides, floods, snow and fires.

To date , 30 countries on the island still do not have a civil protection emergency plan .

To illustrate the guidelines for the preparation of civil protection plans at different territorial levels, the spending program for the assignment of a contribution to local authorities for the updating of municipal civil protection plans, the update for the year 2023 of the regional civil protection plan for hydraulic, hydrogeological and meteorological phenomena risk, the environment councilor Marco Porcu was in Cagliari today.

The main innovation concerns the division into areas of Sardinia, forty-seven micro regions to which are added the four capital cities , from seven to eight municipalities which will have to move together when an emergency arises.

For each area, priority will be given to existing offices using men and means present in the area.
