Attempts to steal from a parked car, 30 years old in handcuffs in Cagliari
The man, surprised by the police officers, tried to escape but was quickly reached and blocked
A 30-year-old Algerian was arrested on Saturday in Cagliari by the Volanti agents while he was trying to steal a car parked in via della Pineta.
The events around 12:30, when the agents, engaged in the ordinary control operations in the area, noticed the 30-year-old intent on tinkering next to the car. At the sight of the policemen, the man fled to the adjacent Via Dexart, but was quickly reached and blocked.
During the subsequent search he was found in possession of two snap knives and a hexagonal key in the shape of a "T", tools used to force the doors of cars.
The foreigner was accompanied to the police station where he was notified of his arrest for attempted theft. He was also denounced on the loose for carrying weapons and offending objects.
In the morning there will be a validation hearing with direct rite.
