The Court of Appeal of Sassari , with a sentence pronounced this morning, acquitted the former regional councilor of the UDC-Sardinia in the center, Antonello Peru , from the charge of attempted extortion for alleged building abuses in his villa by the sea in Marritza. on the coast of Marina di Sorso .
A decision that overturns the first instance sentence with which the Court of Sassari, in April 2022, had sentenced Peru to 5 years and 8 months .
Following that sentence, the political exponent , according to the Severino law, had been suspended from the position of regional councilor , leaving his place to Marco Tedde of Forza Italia.
