Suspiciously, they wandered through the aisles of the supermarket where the most expensive bottles of liqueurs and spirits were displayed. An attitude that has not escaped the staff who reported that presence to the local police command of Sassari .

In a few minutes the agents arrived at the scene and, in civilian clothes, began to follow the two young women and a man without being noticed.

The three were blocked as they tried to leave the commercial premises: they had taken six bottles of an expensive brand of champagne with a commercial value of several hundred euros from the exhibitors , hiding them in the voluminous bags they carried over their shoulders equipped with an aluminum foil shield held together with packing tape.

The two women and the accomplice, of foreign nationality, were arrested and taken to the security cells of the Command in via Carlo Felice. The arrest was validated by the magistrate who ordered the precautionary measure of the prohibition of residence of the defendants in the territory of Sardinia , expressly prohibiting them from returning there without authorization from the Judicial Authority, under penalty of aggravating the measure with the application of custody in prison.

During the investigations it emerged that they had arrived on the island two days earlier with a flight that landed in Olbia and had immediately reached Sassari.
