Empty stalls and loggias tonight at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, where temporary workers - who have been waiting for years for a public competition to stabilize themselves - have joined the strike already announced last month for the premiere of Mefistofele.

At 8pm, the orchestra members will hold a protest and a flashmob in front of the ticket office entrance. According to the unions, the discussions held with the Foundation proved "unsatisfactory", so much so that "the company management - we read in a press note from the RSU - has not yet addressed all the problems that emerged last October 14th during the meeting with the president of the Foundation. The demonstrations will continue until the end of the dispute."

For the superintendent Nicola Colabianchi it is «an incomprehensible initiative, the company is respecting the agreements reached and the agreements made. The strike is twice against citizens who pay taxes to guarantee a cultural service and subscribers who take out a subscription."
