This morning, the Carabinieri of the Cagliari station intervened at a well-known commercial business specializing in building and DIY materials, arresting a 64-year-old resident of Sarroch, believed to be responsible for the crimes of theft and tax evasion .

The man, who was serving house arrest with an electronic bracelet, apparently left his home to go to the store. Seeing the individual's suspicious behavior, the store's security staff immediately alerted the police.

Upon arriving on the scene, officers located the suspect and conducted a personal search. The man was found in possession of various merchandise, with a total value of just over €100 , which had previously been stolen from the store's shelves. The stolen goods were recovered in full, and the 64-year-old was initially arrested.

Once the incident had been reconstructed and the formal procedures completed, the arrested man was taken back to his home and placed under house arrest once again , pending trial under the fast-track procedure.
