"Firm disapproval of what happened." This was declared by the Councilor for General Affairs, Personnel and Reform of the Sardinia Region, Mariaelena Motzo, in relation to the excesses that occurred on Wednesday during a meeting at the headquarters of the Personnel Department, in Viale Trieste in Cagliari, where the regional secretary of Uil Fpl, Giampaolo Spanu, reported an aggression bordering on physical confrontation by Arpas employees , who forced him and his secretary colleague Paolo Mulè to call 113 after being unable to leave the parking lot.

"In expressing total solidarity with the union leaders who have been the object of these excesses", says the councilor confirming the excesses that have occurred, " we emphasize the primary democratic value of the representation of one's own demands at the bargaining tables , which have always found and must find freedom of expression and full respect for any position".

Wednesday's meeting was about the merger of Arpas into the regional sector, with the employees of the environmental protection agency asking for the application of the contract of the regional sector and not that of Health, to which they are linked. Under the building there were workers, who have been waiting for three years for a turning point . "A democratic debate requires, at all levels, including union negotiations, respect for the parties and ideas in the field, even if they differ," Motzo continues. "Sharing is needed: what happened risks compromising the good work done so far, to the detriment of those very people we want to protect. I hope, in the future, greater attention from everyone in these delicate moments ." The councilor also anticipated that she wants to convene a new roundtable soon.
