As scheduled months ago, asphalt has arrived on the Quartu coast . The asphalt pavers are in action on Via Biora and Via San Giovanni as part of the fifth batch of asphalt paving that began, but was then forced to pause in recent weeks while waiting for construction sites operated by external contractors to close. On Via San Giovanni, a road that has been in critical condition for years, work is scheduled for tomorrow. The asphalt will be poured hot for the base course, followed immediately by a roller. The work is expected to last approximately two days.

Cars will be allowed to pass during the work. Workers will implement a one-way system, ensuring minimal disruption.

Given the importance of the intervention, the local police ask for the cooperation of motorists and a little patience if traffic builds up due to the one-way system.

The fifth lot, which began in recent months, includes the asphalting of around twenty roads and adds to those paved in the previous four lots, for a total of 60 km of new asphalt. This represents a total investment of €12 million, €4.2 million of which was invested last year.

At the same time, signage renovations are underway on several streets, along with the creation of pedestrian paths, some of which are even marked out by bollards, as on Via Regina Elena.
