The new statue of the Madonna positioned at the entrance to the town (Lanusei side) was blessed at midday today. The monument was purchased by the Municipality, recipient of donations made by peers from the classes of '90, '91 and '92. A gift to enrich the street furniture, also interpreting the common feeling of the memory of Don Vincenzo Pirarba, the priest struck down by Covid on 10 December 2020. He had been a pastor of souls in Arzana for 34 years, before being transferred in 2016 to Talana, seat of his last ministry.

The mayor of Arzana, Angelo Stochino, met in Su Mulinu, together with the bishop of Nuoro and Lanusei, Antonello Mura, on his last day of pastoral visit to the town, the parish priest Don Michele Congiu and the vicar of the parish, Don Egidio Bula Milung .

The authorities met the faithful, adults and children, for an occasion in which there was no shortage of emotional moments.
