In these hours, the visit of the G20 delegation of the Italian beaches, the network of seaside resorts that boast the largest number of tourist presences in the country, is underway in Arzachena.

The inspections are being carried out in view of the sixth edition of the summit scheduled for May 3 to 5 next .

The heads of organization and scientific coordination, Adriana Miotto and Giorgia Teolato, met today with the deputy mayor Cristina Usai and the councilor for tourism Claudia Giagoni to define in detail the agenda that will see the Sardinian municipality involved in setting up the appointment . The "2nd Focus of the Italian seaside cities" will take place in Rome on 2 February next among the 26 participating mayors, the Government and the tourism managers of the Parliamentary Groups.

The municipalities belonging to the G20s are Alghero, Arzachena, Bellaria Igea Marina, Bibbona, Caorle, Castiglione della Pescaia, Cattolica, Cavallino Treporti, Cervia, Cesenatico, Chioggia, Comacchio, Forio, Grado, Grosseto, Ischia, Jesolo, Lignano Sabbiadoro, Orbetello, Riccione, Rosolina, San Michele al Tagliamento, San Vincenzo, Sorrento, Taormina, Viareggio, Vieste.

The municipal administrations of tourist resorts, it has been said and reiterated several times, are unable to cope with the increase in expenses and, therefore, with the need to offer guests increasingly qualified and indispensable services. It is feared that prestigious locations will not be able to maintain the strong appeal gained over time, losing attractiveness compared to competing international destinations, to the detriment of the image of the entire Italian destination.
