Around Guspini the post office boxes remain empty

The mailbox system in the external and rural areas of the town of Guspini , installed in Sa Zeppara and in the Pip area, should guarantee a regular mail delivery service . But for a year now this hasn't happened anymore . “Will it be restored or how can we receive our mail?” asks Gianluca Brodu, a resident, but the problem is for everyone.

According to what is said, in the past, the number of the form and box was marked in the correspondence, presumably added by postal staff to facilitate delivery by the postman, who therefore did not have to go looking for every single house but deposit it inside the pits. "If they don't restore this service, let them create a viable alternative," Brodu says.

For now the boxes remain empty. But why? Citizens asked the Guspini post office and the San Gavino Monreale sorting center for explanations , but did not get any answers. Mayor Giuseppe De Fanti sent numerous reports to the post office but the service has not resumed. Furthermore, these boxes, in the locality of Sa Zeppara, are in a state of abandonment and with some doors broken.

"Users' mail is sent back and this is creating serious inconvenience because there could be judicial documents or particular documents inside: in this period, for example, the new health cards are being distributed - specifies the councilor in charge of relations with third parties Stefania Atzei - the problem exists and it must be solved”.
