Yet another scam through the postamat , this time in Arbus, where the police reported a 72-year-old from Avola (Syracuse). The victim of the scam , a 45-year-old from Arburo , had put his car up for sale on a well-known website.

He had been contacted by an alleged buyer who, in order to have the car immediately, had offered to pay everything immediately. The 45-year-old, following the instructions received , had gone to the post office automatic teller machine through which he should have received a transfer to his Postepay. Having carried out all the operations that the scammer had dictated to him, only afterwards - seeing the summary - did he understand that the sum , 240 euros, had left the account and not entered .

He subsequently attempted to contact the interlocutor again, who was unavailable.

It was the Arbus police who tracked him down by following the movement of the money with the collaboration of the Post Office.
