The plan for the new territorial air continuity has been approved , the discounted flight regime that Sardinians should use starting from the 2026 summer season . The conference of services convened by President Todde, which was attended by Transport Councillor Barbara Manca and representatives of the Regional Transport Department, the National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT), concluded today with the final approval.
The process now requires a further step in the Council and then, with the signature of the Minister, the publication of the Decree in the Official Journal of the European Union, following which the procedures for awarding the services can be started .
This is a "fundamental step for the future of mobility in Sardinia," Todde emphasized, allowing the final phase of the new continuity model to begin. "Completing the project before mid-August is a very important achievement; we wanted everything to happen quickly," the president remarked, thanking ENAC and the Ministry for the "constructive atmosphere" and "institutional collaboration."

The main points of the new model.
Frequencies: will be increased, as will the number of seats available on all routes to and from Cagliari, Alghero, and Olbia. Four time slots will be available to ensure same-day return journeys (6am-9am, 9am-1pm, 1pm-6:30pm, 6:30pm-11pm).
Fares for residents: approximately 30 euros each way to Rome and 44 to Milan, excluding VAT and airport taxes.
Benefits: extended to new categories, including workers and military personnel with permanent residence in Sardinia, and non-professional competitive athletes.
Non-residents: Reduced rates for non-residents with family ties up to the third degree to Sardinian citizens or who are caring for family members pursuant to Law 104/92 (these categories will benefit from a rate only 30% higher than that of residents).
Business travel: Maximum rates valid year-round for non-Sardinian residents traveling for professional reasons.
