Arbus, maxi seizure of cannabis: the owner of a farmhouse arrested

About 100 kilos of cannabis were seized during an operation conducted by the Investigative Unit of the Forestry Department of the Cagliari Inspectorate and by the stations of Villacidro, Guspini Sanluri and Dolianova.
The drug was inside a farmhouse in Arbus , in the locality of Funtanazza: the structure is currently closed.
The officers were in the area to carry out the usual actions to combat poaching, on the slopes of Monte Arcuentu, when they heard a strong smell coming from the farmhouse which led them to recover 12 bags containing the drugs .
Cannabis, as confirmed by the Carabinieri del Ris, had a cannabinoid value higher than the limit set by law. Therefore , ID, a 53-year-old farmer from Arbus and owner of the farm, ended up under house arrest .
With this latest intervention, more than 6 quintals of narcotic substances have been seized this year by the Forestry Corps.
