The man who was driving the Renault yesterday on the provincial road between Montevecchio and Funtanazza was drunk and collided with the Fiat Uno driven by a 28-year-old woman with her two and three-year-old children on board.

The cars crashed possibly due to a lane invasion, in Arbus territory.

The impact was extremely violent: the woman and one of her children were transported by air ambulance, in red code, to the Brotzu emergency room in Cagliari . According to reports, their lives are not in danger.

Subsequent investigations revealed that the driver of the Renault, a 63-year-old man who underwent a breathalyzer test, was drunk: he had a blood alcohol level of 2.4 g/l. His vehicle and license were confiscated.

Various 118 ambulances from Guspini and San Gavino and the station carabinieri intervened on the spot, carrying out the surveys and reconstructing the dynamics of the accident.
