Arborea, cannabis plantation between rows of corn: four settle lawsuit
Over three thousand plants had been discovered, sentences of 2 years and 4 months were agreedA plantation of over 3 thousand marijuana plants among the corn rows of the Arborea plain. A cultivation that had not escaped the attention of the Carabinieri of Oristano and for which Silvano and Vittorio Pinos (father, 68 years old and son, 19 from Arborea) and Francesco Canu (38) from Orune and Gavino Pireddu (28) from Bono ended up in trouble. Assisted by the lawyers Stefano Piras, Antonello Casula, Gianluigi Mastio and Lorenzo Simonetti and with the consent of the prosecutor Paolo De Falco they have pleaded guilty to a sentence of 2 years and 4 thousand euros of fine, only for Vittorio Pinos 18 months 18 and 3 thousand 600. For all the lawyers they have obtained the suspension of the sentence.
The plantation was discovered by the Carabinieri in September of a year ago: the soldiers had surprised the youngest one while watering the plants that extended for about a hectare (with a very high active ingredient). The investigation had expanded and the father had also ended up in trouble (it had emerged that they had dedicated themselves to the activity due to economic problems). Finally, the precautionary measure for the two from Nuoro who would have arrived in the Oristano area to plant the cannabis in the fertile lands of the Arborea plain.
