A man fell ill while he was on the cliff north of the Capannina beach, in Arbatax . Those who were close to him and witnessed the scene immediately called 118. Arrived on the spot just before noon, the volunteer staff tried to transport him to the beach but the conditions of the stretch made the operation rather critical.

In light of the difficulties, in addition to the crew of the Coast Guard, the firefighters were called to the west beach, who carried the patient safely to the ambulance parked on the coastal road.

Meanwhile, the 118 station alerted an Areus helicopter that landed on the eastern quay of the port. At 13 o'clock the aircraft took off with the patient on board who, for investigations, was transferred to the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro.
