Embroidery, inlays, flowers and houndstooth complete a perfect picture. The village of San Salvatore di Sinis once again becomes the setting for major events.
The dirt paths became the setting for the photo shoot of the "Pre Fall Winter" collection by stylist Antonio Marras.
Clothes that are inspired by the union between the Sardinian community and that of the Native Americans of the United States, sung in 1981 by Fabrizio de Andrè in an autobiographical album.
This is how the Nativi Sardi collection was born. «Natives and Sardinians have in common an existential dimension that experiences the relationship between people, the relationship with nature, the relationship with the divine in a very similar way, they both inhabit the free spaces of prairies or mountains and appreciate freedom and consequently the violence of the repression of those who want to deny that freedom together with their diversity", states Marras in describing the art that drives his latest collection.
A collection that «accompanies manual skill, love for tradition, reverence towards ancient uses and millenary gestures and ancestral rites» and which is characterized by the use of first choice materials accessible to peoples who are constantly on the move as the native Sardinians have always been and Native Americans, with a precise choice of colors of the prairie skies and Sardinian sunsets. «We welcomed the designer Antonio Marras with extreme pleasure, convincing ourselves that the enchantment of the landscape and the cultural identity of this part of Sardinia harmoniously marry the strength and beauty of the collection», said the mayor Andrea Abis, who met the stylist in San Salvatore.
