Antonio Ligios is the new president of the Sassari Conservatory.

The position is new, but it's a return. Antonio Ligios, a native of Sassari, has been appointed by the ministry as president of the Sassari Conservatory of Music. He succeeds Ivano Iai.

A professor of music at the "Canepa" Conservatory for 43 years, Antonio Ligios was director of the Sassari Conservatory, first from 2005 to 2011 and then from 2014 to 2020. A music critic and musicologist, Antonio Ligios published the volume "Teatro e musica senza confini" last year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cooperativa Teatro e/o Musica di Sassari.

Ligios also served on the Scientific-Strategic Committee of the AlmaLaurea Interuniversity Consortium as a representative of the Higher Education in Music and Dance sector.
