Anna Ruggiu Foundation Scholarships for Nine Roma Students from Alghero

"We have been very proud to award the Anna Ruggiu Foundation scholarships to nine young Roma from Alghero enrolled in various high schools in the city. The winners have distinguished themselves for their particular merit and dedication to their studies, the most powerful weapon to fight ignorance and live autonomously and independently in society: our most sincere congratulations go to them for the results achieved." With these words, Mayor Raimondo Cacciotto commented on the successes achieved by the nine young people from Alghero during their school career.

"Integration is built day by day, even with small gestures like this. Many steps forward have been made compared to the past, but we must work hard to enhance the uniqueness that makes up our community", added the mayor. "As an Administration, we have the goal of committing ourselves so that Alghero is an even more welcoming city, capable of teamwork and, above all, that leaves no one behind".
