An artillery shell among the bathers next to the dunes of Porto Pino
Some tourists even handled it to move it: one of the "remains" of the exercises in the Teulada shooting rangePer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
A day at the beach with a (bad) surprise for the bathers who chose the dunes of Is Arenas Biancas in Porto Pino, in the territory of Sant'Anna Arresi: an artillery shell of about half a meter in length was found on the sand.
A legacy – which seems quite old – of the military exercises of the Teulada Polygon, which is located nearby: the forbidden zone begins a short distance away, right in the middle of the natural monuments made up of billions of white grains.
According to what we learn, the weapon was recovered by some tourists, in an accessible and not forbidden area. They took it - without thinking that it could be an unexploded projectile - and moved it closer to the sea. Here it was photographed, vertically: the symbol of the contrast between the paradise of the dunes and the bombings authorized, as every year, from next October 1st.
