Alghero, woman becomes ill while driving: car crashes into pole

Accident in via Carrabuffas in Alghero.

For reasons yet to be clarified, around 3.30pm today a car crashed into a street lamp .

The driver lost control of the car, perhaps due to illness , and was immediately rescued by some passers-by.

A team from 118 intervened on the spot and transported the woman to the emergency room . A team of firefighters from the Alghero detachment was also on the street of the accident and took care of securing the pole, while waiting for the technicians.

The local police and the state police will lend a hand.
