"Once again, the center-right has found itself having to make up for the shortcomings of a divided and inconsistent majority." These are the thoughts of group leaders Alessandro Cocco (Fratelli d'Italia), Marco Tedde (Forza Italia), Raffaele Salvatore (UDC - Patto per Alghero), Michele Pais (Lega) and Massimiliano Fadda (Prima Alghero), after the work of the IV Commission, convened to address a delicate and important issue such as support for sports clubs that deal with rugby.

The session, chaired by President Colledanchise, included the hearing of sports clubs to gather difficulties and needs, "but it was marked by the inexplicable abandonment of three majority commissioners, led by the leader of the Democratic Party, who, after a sudden suspension for a heated majority meeting, left the work before it even started", they explain from the opposition. "An irresponsible attitude that caused the lack of a quorum - they insist - and that we took steps to ensure with the center-right commissioners Ansini, Caria and Cocco".

According to the mayor's political opponents, "the unjustified absence of councilor Enrico Daga, who loves to pontificate on sports facilities, was yet another bad figure." Solidarity, however, was expressed to the majority councilors Giampietro Moro, Gianni Occhioni and Beatrice Podda, as well as president Colledanchise, who dissociated themselves from the rest of the coalition, demonstrating a sense of duty and seriousness. "They were able to distinguish themselves with responsibility, actively participating in the work of a commission that should have been a moment of dialogue and that instead marks a new bad figure on the part of this left," conclude the center-right group leaders.
