Rain of fines for residents of the historic center of Alghero who have access to the Ztl.

Some have also received dozens of reports for driving through the streets of the old quarter from January 1 to February 28 last year. The dispute concerns the absence of the mark.

«But for the residents the deadline for the renewal of the pass was set for January 31st and then it was extended to February 28th, - points out Alessandra Casu, the president of the Alguer Vella committee - therefore, even having paid and presented the application, it would have been difficult to display the stamp".

Something must have gone wrong in the municipal offices. Many of the citizens who received the green letter with the sanction had made a regular request within the time established by the Administration.

"There are residents who have accumulated 50 fines, - reveals Casu - we believe it is appropriate that we can at least verify the renewal request, complete with the required documentation, before the imposition of the sanctions".

The anomaly was promptly reported to the town planning councilor Emiliano Piras, who ensured an accurate check in the competent offices.

Therefore, those who have renewed by February 28 should see all sanctions canceled in self-defense.
