Protests over the endless queues in the offices of the social-health district in via Degli Orti in Alghero. Users must show up at dawn to be able to take one of the 60 numbers that are distributed throughout the morning. Most leave with a fistful of flies in hand. The long queues are made for the choice or revocation of the doctor or to obtain exemption from pathology.
Following the umpteenth retirement of a family doctor and therefore expecting still great crowding in the ASL offices, the branches will guarantee continuous opening until 7 April on Wednesday, from 8.30 to 17.30, while Thursday afternoon opening is scheduled from 15 to 18. Friday, again, the offices will be open from 8.30 to 15.30.
Meanwhile, the citizens suggest allowing those who are unable to conquer the number to be able to book for the following day, without having to repeat the exhausting queue.

“The local health authority of Sassari specifies that:
Anticipating the increase in users in the weeks following the retirement of a general practitioner of Alghero, the activity at the counter of the Alghero choices and revocations office has been strengthened since Monday 03 April, through the increase of dedicated staff and with the extension of opening hours.
Enhancement of the service which has made it possible to double the number of cases processed per day, which went from 60 daily cases last week to about 120 these days.
Enhanced timetable in the week from 03 to 07 April:
Monday and Wednesday, from 08.30 to 17.30 (all day)
Tuesday and Thursday, from 08.30 to 13.30 and from 15.00 to 18.00
Friday, from 08.30 to 15.30 (all day)
Boost that will also be granted next week, from April 11 to 14:
Tuesday and Thursday, from 08.30 to 13.30 and from 15.00 to 18.00
Wednesday, from 08.30 to 17.30 (all day)
