It's raining on the stalls of the Alghero civic market. The heavy downpour that hit the city in the early hours of the morning has caused major inconvenience to the operators of the fruit and vegetable market on Via Sassari. And it's not the first time. It happens every rainy day.
The old roof was in fact unable to prevent water from entering the building, even passing through the ceiling lights of a commercial activity currently closed, with the risk of a short circuit. For years there has been discussion about the need for a restyling of the old market for which the resources had already been found in November 2023: 375 thousand euros for the renovation of the roof, bathrooms and entrances. But since then everything has been at a standstill.
