Five traders occupied public land without permission and were fined by the local police of Alghero for this reason.

In recent days, Commander Salvatore Masala's men have carried out several checks on the occupation of public land by public establishments , both within the historic centre and in the urban area and on the municipal civic markets of via Sassari, del Primo pescato and della Pietraia.

Around thirty businesses were subjected to checks and, during the inspections, it was discovered, after checks in the municipal offices, that five public establishments were occupying public land without authorization.

"Occupying public land without a permit - explains Commander Masala - constitutes a violation of Article 20 of the Highway Code. In the event of repetition - he warns - there is a risk of suspension of the permit and closure of the business".
