The fishermen of the Cigarellu committee have had their boats stationary for four months and have still not received compensation. The bay of Porto Conte was closed to fishing last September and the small navy has never heard from the funding that should have arrived from Cagliari. This was announced by the spokesman, Carmelo Mura , who has already requested a hearing in the city council, "because the fishermen's families no longer know how to go on".

Meanwhile, the " Alghero case" is making the other Sardinian small-scale fishing trade associations discuss. The protected marine area of Capo Caccia-Isola Piana, in fact, had requested and obtained compensation from the Region to help the families of the fishermen of the Cigarellu committee, after the interdiction of that sea area. About 100,000 euros a year for 2022 and 2023 . "A shareable measure", commented the trade organizations, "but to be extended to other navies as well".

Carmelo Mura today let it be known that no sailor from Alghero has yet received a euro .
