Alghero, collision between two motorbikes in via Marconi: motorcyclists in hospital

Perhaps a failure to give way was the cause of the collision between two motorcycles on Via Marconi, in the afternoon around 5 pm. The two motorcyclists collided at an intersection: one was heading towards Via Sant'Agostino and the other was proceeding towards Via Brigata Sassari.
The impact was violent, the two motorcycles were practically destroyed and the drivers ended up in the emergency room accompanied by two 118 ambulances. The Carabinieri, the fire brigade and the local police were also on site.
The road was closed to traffic to allow rescuers to intervene and law enforcement to carry out surveys. The motorcyclists reportedly suffered several injuries, bruises and fractures, but their lives are not in danger.
