6 months with conditional suspension of the sentence subject to community service . This is the sentence imposed by the preliminary hearing judge Sergio De Luca, in court in Sassari in recent days, against the 29-year-old from Sassari accused of aggravated injuries for the brawl that occurred in the Touch on the Beach nightclub in Alghero between 14 and 15 August 2024 .

That night, a 23-year-old from Alghero was punched three times in the face by a 30-year-old Senegalese man while an employee of the club had his arm around the victim's neck .

Gratuitous and unjustified violence, because the injured party was completely unconnected to the clash, which had been captured on cell phones by those present in videos that went viral.

The blows inflicted by the non-EU citizen caused the young man from Alghero, assisted in the legal proceedings by the lawyer Filippo Carta, injuries that were deemed to heal in 30 days.

While the Senegalese, defended by the lawyer Claudio Mastandrea, has been summoned to trial and will appear before judge Claudia Sechi on June 12th for the start of the trial, the 29-year-old, an employee of Touch last year, and defended by the lawyer Francesco Chessa, has chosen an alternative rite which has now reached sentencing.
