Last night in a hamlet of Alghero the Carabinieri had to intervene following a report. And once they arrived on site the soldiers found the house of the cohabitants turned upside down, with damaged furniture, a broken chandelier, glass on the floor and other objects broken in the rooms.

The man, in the presence of the military, insulted his partner, who subsequently filed a complaint claiming that the harassing behavior had been going on for some time.

The suspect was arrested in flagrante delicto and taken to court this morning in Sassari, accused of mistreatment.

The prosecutor had requested precautionary custody in prison but judge Paolo Bulla ordered the 31-year-old, defended by lawyer Elisabetta Udassi, to be prohibited from approaching the injured party for a distance of no less than 500 meters.
