Alessandro Tedde , the 26-year-old counter from Su Cumbidu, a restaurant run by Gianmichele Dedoni in the Marina district, had only had a few lines of fever, struck down by an illness while he was sleeping in his home in Cagliari at dawn two days ago.

He had told his employer on Tuesday that he would not show up due to that slight fever, nothing to suggest what happened a few hours later and that will be clarified with the autopsy.

Meanwhile, the terrible news of his untimely death spread to Guamaggiore, leaving in dismay the small community in the center of Trexenta of which Tedde was a native and where he often returned, to be with his parents and with his brother Simone.

Alessandro had moved to Cagliari five years ago, after finding a job as a counter in the restaurant Su Cumbidu. He was the specialist in appetizers and platters with cured meats and cheeses, so much so that many customers asked specifically for him when they went to the restaurant even just for an aperitif before lunch or dinner.

It was her partner, Martina Floris, who discovered that she was no longer breathing and immediately called for help which, however, arrived in a very short time, unfortunately proved useless.
