Tomorrow, October 7th, water will be regularly supplied to the Quartu waterfront. However, this will be the only area of the city enjoying this service: all other users will be left without water from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. due to urgent maintenance work on the main near the roundabout between Viale Colombo and Via Marconi. A leak was discovered in recent days: technicians have conducted inspections and scheduled the work, which, given the unique location (one of the main hubs of the city's water network), will require the main to be completely free of water.
Today it was announced that Abbanoa technicians will carry out network adjustments that will allow the outage to be limited to the city center.
The closure will be carried out at the Sa Serrixedda reservoirs and will not affect the coastline: the area from Margine Rosso to Geremeas will be regularly supplied by the "South Western" aqueduct which will not suffer any interruptions.
The three large overhead reservoirs along the coastal strip, which provide water to the areas served by the Abbanoa-managed water network, will be regularly refilled.
