The committees against wind energy confirm that the ten thousand signatures needed to bring the Pratobello law to the attention and then, eventually, to the approval of the Regional Council, have been collected in record time. But the tension does not decrease: the goal to reach on September 16 is now that of fifty thousand signatures.
There is enthusiasm among the committees: "All those who believed in and contributed to the Pratobello 24 law are witnessing today a great act of popular democracy. The goal of ten thousand signatures, from the data in our possession, is established", says Luigi Pisci, spokesman for the Sarcidano Committee and representative of the regional coordination. "But we are aiming for the maximum to shake the regional and national political power. The united front of the Sardinian people against energy speculation is now established by this great participation".
This while on Friday in Sassari the collection of signatures for the proposed law of popular initiative started with a bang. The city councilors Martina Marongiu, Antonello Sassu, Nicola Lucchi and Mariano Brianda worked at full speed to welcome the hundreds of people who flocked to the historic center of the capital of Turritano, in via Frigaglia, where the association promoting the collection is based.
From Serramanna, Unidos and the Serramanna Futura association report that yesterday, therefore in a single day, a thousand signatures were collected in the town of Medio Campidano.
