The mass protests had the desired effect: this morning, shortly after dawn, work began on the refurbishment of the disastrous Is Gannaus roundabout along state road 126 , the fundamental hub of traffic between the Sulcis and Iglesiente areas.
The Municipality commissioned a private firm that with three vehicles, a truck, a skid steer and a milling machine, began the arrangement of the roundabout in which there were no less than a dozen large holes if not chasms that were making the transit of cars, motorcycles and bicycles .
The operation started early this morning and caused some traffic discomfort considering the rush hour, however it could be concluded within a fairly short time. The work was arranged by the Department of Maintenance.
