The African anticyclone is strengthening over Italy, bringing a hot and sunny June 2, with temperatures that will go above 30 degrees in several locations, up to 37 degrees from Wednesday, especially in Sardinia.

This is what the meteorologist of the website iLMeteo.it, Lorenzo Tedici , predicts, who explains: «Saturday and Sunday we will reach 32-35°C in Sardinia and 31-32°C in Florence and Rome, for the Republic Day the thermometer will rise even higher with 35-36°C in Oristano , 34°C in Foggia and 30°C again in Bologna and Milan and between 5 and 10 June we could touch and locally immediately exceed 40°C in the shade».

Temperatures that already trigger the alert for skin exposure to solar rays in this season . Tedici in fact speaks of a «false belief that considers the sun of May and June less dangerous than that of July and August . The solar rays - explains Tedici - are at their maximum power around the Summer Solstice, which falls on June 21 for the Northern Hemisphere, due to the lower inclination with which they hit our Planet and therefore the greater solar energy during the solstitial period».

The 21 days before the Solstice (May 31) or 21 days after (July 12) the danger of the sun's rays is more or less similar, says Tedici , who invites the many people who are exposing themselves to the sun for the first time «to use sunscreen with protection factor 30 or higher, at least every 3 hours».
