Germany, Ireland and Belgium. These are just some of the countries from which requests are arriving - in Sardinia - for a beehive , a sheep , a goat . But also of wheat fields and vineyards. A few months after the launch of the "Mannos - From the Land of Longevity" project , created to enhance local productions, there are already many questions on the platform. 50% of them come from Sardinia, the rest from Italy and abroad.

Some are very particular, like the one made by a company that decided to adopt beehives as a gift for its employees, as a sign of gratitude for their commitment. «A gesture that was then reciprocated by the workers themselves towards the managers - says Maria Giovanna Carta, creator of the project and business consultant originally from Olbia -. We also had a request as a wedding gift . With virtual and distance adoption, on the one hand the activity of the farmer or breeder is supported during the year - which is documented and reported periodically -, on the other hand you receive your own special stocks of products directly from the land".

Each adoption is marked with a label with your name on the collar of the sheep or goat, or on the hives. The adopter can also visit his "corner" of Sardinia and meet the producer. Mannos also offers related experiences and immersive visits to farms to participate live and experience some of the activities during the main production phases. For example, it is possible to participate in milking and cheese-making, while from February you will be able to visit the beehives, participate in the milling of wheat and from March you will be able to take part in pruning the vines in the Mandrolisai vineyards in Atzara. The project promotes a healthy and genuine lifestyle, in the footsteps of the ancestors.
