It was a nurse, the first to intervene, and a pediatrician, who practiced heart massage, who saved the life of the one-and-a-half-year-old child who risked suffocating for a grape on Solanas beach .
They were dramatic moments.
A nurse who was on the beach as soon as she understood the situation rushed to give the baby the first attention. Then came the pediatrician, who was in a house nearby, who practiced heart massage when the baby's heart was no longer beating .
Fortunately, thanks to the rescue maneuvers, a part of the grape was expelled and the child started breathing again .
In the meantime, the Sinnai 118 rescue team from the Anas Sardegna Network arrived, which in the summer has a position in Solanas that continued assisting the child.
Also activated a medicalized and the 118 helicopter which then accompanied the child, together with his mother, to the Brotzu for further investigations . His condition improved.
A tragedy fortunately only touched upon thanks to the prompt intervention and professionalism of a pediatrician and a nurse.
