They accused her of extortion but perhaps it was "just" love. Yesterday in court in Sassari, the trial of a 42-year-old who, at the time of the events in 2021, was practicing prostitution ended with acquittal.

According to the accusation, the woman would have threatened a regular customer to reveal to his neighbors that he had paid sexual relations with her and, in this way, she would have obtained 25 thousand euros in three years of dating. At least this is the version of the alleged victim who one day, finding the police at home because they had to notify the Sassari native of a precautionary custody notice, decides to file a complaint about the supposed blackmail. However, during the discussion, prosecutor Ermanno Cattaneo considered statements to be "contradictory" and generally vague, so much so that he wanted to ask for the accused to be acquitted.

Similarly, Carlo Pinna Parpaglia, the 42-year-old's defense lawyer, focused on the type of relationship between the two that had been going on for years and, in his opinion, now had little of the prostitute and a lot of sentimentality. «Everyone knew - stated the lawyer - about that relationship. You would often see them walking together." And in the end the panel chaired by Monia Adami, alongside Valentina Nuvoli and Paolo Bulla, decided for acquittal because the fact does not exist.
