Perhaps a distraction at the origin of the accident which occurred in the late afternoon on the Alghero-Olmedo route and which involved four vehicles: a van and three cars. On the 127bis a Fiat 500 was about to turn left towards the Rio Calvia road, but was rear-ended by a van which evidently did not have time to slow down.

On impact, the driver lost control of the vehicle, ending up in the opposite lane, against another car that was coming in the direction of Alghero, a Dacia Duster.

The balance is heavy: three injured, one of which is seriously transported by air ambulance to the Sassari hospital for a suspected fracture, while complaining of severe back pain. On the spot, the agents of the local police of Alghero who proceeded to direct the traffic to a point of the 127bis, at the gates of Alghero, where accidents often occur also due to the high speed that the cars maintain in the long straight downhill. The firefighters are also present. The road was closed and traffic diverted to Carrabuffas.
