There were moments of apprehension this morning on Viale Diaz in Cagliari, due to the presence of a strong smell of gas: all caused, according to initial investigations, by a pipe burst by a vehicle working on the construction site for the surface metro line.

Firefighters responded immediately around 11:00 a.m. to secure the area, temporarily closing it to traffic to allow gas company crews to carry out repairs. The emergency was over after about an hour.
