Accident on State Road 554 and State Road 130 towards Cagliari: long queues and diversions

Highway 130 is also blocked near Elmas, heading towards Cagliari. At the initiative of Anas, a team of workers is replacing the side guard rail: opening the worksite around 9 a.m. would have been enough to avoid the chaos. Anger and protests erupted in drivers' cabins, with two kilometers of traffic jams. But that's not all. A collision between two cars near the Mario Mameli Airport junction also slowed traffic: traffic police responded to the scene, but fortunately no injuries were reported.

Another Anas construction site is on Highway 131, at the entrance to Cagliari, just before the turnoff to the hospitals. Again, postponing the work by a few hours would have limited the disruption. And, almost arriving in the city from Viale Monastir, another traffic jam: the City Council is resurfacing the roundabout at Via Lunigiana. A local police patrol is on site regulating traffic.

And also at the entrance to Cagliari from the 195 rac, near the shopping center, another construction site has created long queues up to the 130 at the entrance to Elmas.
