Consumption is assumed, the sting is real. The bills that Abbanoa is delivering to the homes of many Sardinians are heavy and very heavy for family budgets in crisis.

ADMISSION - To admit it is the same management company of the water service, which in the notes accompanying the payment slips indicates that "the amount of this invoice is higher" even "by 150% compared to the average charge of the last 12 months". For this reason, recipients are given the option of paying the requested amounts in installments. We are talking about significant sums.

THE SUMS - A family of Pirri must pay 558 euros by 20 October. A couple residing in via Bacaredda, also in Cagliari , were asked for 800 euros. Not two isolated cases. Other examples come from Carbonia . Here Abbanoa has come to claim 861 euros , recognizing that the amount "exceeds the average of the last year by 80%". But also 747 euros, to be paid by the 25th of this month: one and a half times the average of the year. All bills on account, it is put in black and white. That is, for assumed consumption, not yet enjoyed.

THE QUESTIONS - That it is a generalized problem is demonstrated by the fact that the case ended up at the center of two questions, politically transversal. The first was deposited in the municipal council in Cagliari by Anna Puddu (Progressives), the other in the regional council by Fabio Usai (Psd'Az). Both have had their bills delivered by desperate citizens. And they ask their respective governing bodies to account.

CAGLIARI - "It would seem that a large number of families from Cagliari have been delivered bills relating to water consumption by Abbanoa Spa with exorbitant and unsustainable figures", writes Puddu, "with an average variation between 500/800 euros per family basis of presumed and ineffective consumption ". The councilor turns to the mayor Paolo Truzzu, shareholder of Abbanoa with his municipality, to find out how this was possible and whether the billing parameters imposed by Arera have been respected.

REGIONAL COUNCIL - Usai, on the other hand, turns to the president of the region Christian Solinas and the councilor for public works Aldo Salaris, responsible for Abbanoa, to ask if they know "the causes behind these increases", and so that "they intervene with all means at its disposal or by promoting any other instrument, to be devised and introduced also in the legislative context, to limit the impact of bills on families ".
