Sardinia will have its first consulate in Mexico: Renato Chiesa, a Cagliari lawyer and owner of the law firm of the same name, will hold the position of head of the diplomatic office. He has just been appointed honorary consul of the United Mexican States for the entire regional district.

Mexico is the first non-European member of the G20 to have a diplomatic representation on the island.

«I am honored to be recognized by the Mexican government and to be able to represent the wonderful Mexican community in Sardinia», says the new consul, assuring his commitment so that «in an increasingly global world, the consulate «can also form a bridge between Mexico and Sardinia, with the promotion of commercial and cultural exchanges between one of the twenty largest economies in the world and the island».
