Selargius has a new centenarian: Enrico Aragoni, who, in addition to his 100th birthday, recently celebrated 72 years of marriage to his wife, Anna Porrà , 93. Originally from Tortolì but a resident of Selargius for 43 years, he has three children (Paolo, Renata, and Alessia), nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren , Cesare and Gregorio, who today celebrate the important milestone of a hundred years of life. He has always had a passion for chemistry, so much so that while he worked for Masnata, he was one of the inventors of the formula for bleach . He then took up a new profession as a salesman, ending his working years by creating a beverage dealership, which was passed on to his son Paolo, who still runs it today.
This morning's celebrations included a visit from Deputy Mayor Gabriella Mameli, accompanied by Prime Minister Tonino Melis, who presented Grandpa Enrico with a plaque expressing the congratulations of the municipal administration and the entire community , the Selargius pennant, and a copy of his handwritten birth certificate from one hundred years ago. But first, a Mass was celebrated, entrusted to Father Giacomo Faedda, and the closing ceremony was the inevitable cake-cutting ceremony, also attended by the mayor of Tortolì . Dr. Roberto Pili, the couple's primary care physician, recently retired, and president of the World Longevity Community, also attended.
