The emergency room at the San Giuseppe Calasanzio hospital in Isili will remain open in September . Alessandro Coni, health director of Cagliari's Local Health Authority (ASL 8), confirmed that despite the difficulty in finding available staff, the emergency room will remain open as usual every day from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The administrators, who are monitoring the situation closely, also expressed satisfaction with the announcement.

"We're moving forward in small steps," said Isili Mayor Luca Pilia, "but structural intervention is needed to ensure the emergency room remains fully operational."

The mayors and the committee's goal remains the same: to restore 24-hour service so as to prevent residents from continuing to suffer this inconvenience or even avoiding treatment.
