"Yet another very serious incident in the Brotzu hospital parking lot." The complaint comes from Alleanza Sardegna city councilor Roberto Mura , who, in a Facebook post accompanied by a photograph of a damaged car, announced a questioning of Palazzo Bacaredda.

"For some time now, reports have been coming in of people illegally occupying and controlling the parking lot, accosting motorists and demanding money," Mura accuses. "According to the reports, those who refuse to give in to pressure and threats risk having their cars damaged. This is simply unacceptable . Those who go to the hospital may be doing so for a happy occasion, such as a birth, or to deal with an illness, a visit, a hospital stay, or a difficult family situation. It's absurd that, on top of all this, they also have to worry about being threatened in the parking lot or having their car damaged. We're talking about the parking lot of Sardinia's main hospital," he concludes, "frequented every day by patients, families, and workers. We can't continue to consider this a normal or inevitable situation."

The councilor is requesting the intervention of the Municipality of Cagliari, the Municipality of Selargius, and Arnas Brotzu, each within their respective jurisdictions, "to put an end to a situation that has dragged on for years." He calls for constant checks, truly effective video surveillance, monitoring of the area, and coordination with law enforcement, "not just a few one-off interventions after yet another complaint. Anyone going to the hospital should be able to leave their car without fear. Let's intervene now, before something even more serious happens."
